Family Social Dances at the Grange
Are you looking for a great place to take your tweens and teens to be social, but safe? Are you and your dance partner looking for a fun evening to show off your moves? Or do you want to meet others who enjoy dancing, and learning new things? The Social Dances are just the thing!
I find myself grinning from ear to ear every time I come, whether I’m busy dancing, visiting, or just observing all the young people learning how to do some of these “old world” and folk style dances. They just look like they’re having a blast. The smiles, the sweat, the good times. It’s all good wholesome fun at the Fern Prairie Grange.
How Does it Work?
When you come to a Social Dance you can expect to learn a lot of new dances. The dances are taught briefly before, then everyone dances with the music. Many people who attend the dances come regularly and know the dances already, but they are very welcoming to newcomers and are willing to help folks learn.
You will not find people who are judgmental about your dancing skills, though. The environment at these dances is very accepting and encouraging. Everyone is there to have a good time and dance. So come on out, find a partner, and hit the cushioned dance floor!
